Digital Wonderland:

A Cultural and Environmental History of Yellowstone National Park

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

Have you ever visited a national park and wondered what history took place there?  Do you wish you could learn more about the national parks you visit while you’re driving through them?  Would you like to see historic photos and documents describing the past landscapes and history of Yellowstone National Park?

Digital Wonderland is a mobile app prototype developed in 2014 as part of an ongoing digital geohumanities project linking archival research, historic landscape reconstruction, GIS and geospatial technologies, social media, collaborative research between the public, scholars, and park managers and staff.  I lead the team effort between an interdisciplinary group of scholars, students, national park staff and archivists, and technical app developers to create this app prototype.  Available as limited release for Apple/iTunes store.
